The overwhelming majority of people we've heard from have really enjoyed their stay at the Melia. It's located in Marina Vallarta, in close proximity to all the boat tours, but about 10 minutes by taxi from downtown.
We haven't stayed there, but perhaps other people in this forum can add more insight for you? More Info on the Melia Vallarta -----------------------------------------------------------
